Pat was very entertaining at the Reunion Party.  Funny and happy.  Singing his heart out.  Charming (Barb tells me).  What a shock for those of us who don't feel and look half as good as Pat did that weekend.  Rest in peace, Dragon.

A great guy and a good sprinter. We grew up in St. Margaret's together . Different safer times back then. His family moved to Ressurrection parish when he was in 8 th grade. He did not switch schools but rode his bike everyday from Ressurection ( by St. Mary's ) to St.Margaret's ( by Shaw's Garden) for a few months . Always a gentleman .

Will miss my good friend Pat a lot.  Shocked by his passing.  Pat and I double dated alot and he also picked me up for school in that red rambler.  RIP my friend.

I talked to Pat at the last reunion that I was able to make and it was great seeing him. He was always such a genuine  person and such a positive demeanor that he always made you feel better.   Truely a loss for all and gone too soon.

He leaves many lively and happy memories for most of us he touched in our lives. What a tribute to a life well lived!
May his reward be great and his memory long.

Hard to believe Pat is gone.  He was a wonderful young man when I knew him at Resurrection and Saint Mary's High School.  He was funny, athletic, and so humble, it was always a pleasure to be with Pat.
Rest In Peace, Pat. We will all miss you very much.

Sad to hear about sudden passing of Pat, like Bill Lowery said, fortunate to be grade & high school teammate, classmate with a fierce SM competitor & fun loving personality to be around. His SM Pride was incredible & I always have terrific Pat Wheatley's memories. God keep him & his Family closer in their time of comfort now.

I met Pat right away being the Freshman Football Team locker room manager.  He had a great demeanor, got a kick out of us.

Pat was jazzed about his acting troupe, inviting me, so I went a number of times.  He memorized 5 to 6 plays annually, playing the dialogue on tape in his car, and reciting his lines where it was blanked out for his part.  Fascinating!

I dated his niece, who told me his Mom was a Cherokee Indian.  He said he tried to find out, but did not know.  She died in Freshman year.

He stayed at home with his Dad, grieving, not knowing to ever go back to school.  After a month, the football Brother, I think he said it was Brother Kwazinsky, knocked on his door, telling him to get back to school and football or else!!!  Pat told me he was grateful, because life could have been much different, without Brother's tough love.

Theatre was good for Pat, because he almost laughed hamming up parts, while in costume.  And his friends there kept a memory alive of an actor that passed on.  They called the acting troupe K's Production or something to that effect.  He told me there were no more parts for someone our age, and I asured him to find the part to portray.  There were plays written that included characters our age.

Pat really took a joke well from all of you rowdy Dragons!  His hearefter opens a new change.

I am so shocked to hear of Pat's passing.  I echo the fellow Dragon comments of him at the 50y reunion.  We can say with an amount of certainty that heaven will be a more fun place with Pat there.  Rest in peace brother Dragon.
